This is Jody’s Fawn

“This is Jody’s Fawn” is written by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. It is divided into three parts. The first part talks about Jody’s thought that keeps coming in his mind. He thinks that the little fawn is left alone, as he kills the doe and uses its heart and liver to save his father’s life. He goes to his father and asks him how he is feeling. Then, he shares his thought and asks for permission to bring the fawn home and raise it.

"दिस इज़ जोडी'स फॉन" मार्जोरी किन्नान रॉलिंग्स के द्वारा लिखा गया है। इसे तीन भागों में विभाजित किया गया है। पहला भाग जोडी के विचारों के बारे में बात करता है जो उसके दिमाग में आते रहते हैं। वह सोचता है कि छोटे से हिरणी के बच्चे  को अकेला छोड़ दिया जाता है, क्योंकि वह हिरणी  को मारता है और अपने पिता के जीवन को बचाने के लिए अपने दिल और जिगर का उपयोग करता है। वह अपने पिता के पास जाता है और उससे पूछता है कि वह कैसा महसूस कर रहे  है। फिर, वह अपने विचारों को साझा करता है और हिरणी के बच्चे  को घर लाने और इसे पालने  की अनुमति मांगता है।

His father is hemmed in after listening to his request. Jody is able to convince his father and gets his permission too. However, his father tells him to inform his mother as well before he goes to bring in the fawn. He tells his mother, but she is not willing to allow him to bring in the fawn. Then, Jody tells that his father said “It is ungrateful to leave the fawn to starve”.

उनके अनुरोध को सुनने के बाद उनके पिता परेशान हो जाते है। जोड़ी अपने पिता को मनाने में सक्षम हो जाता है और उनकी अनुमति भी प्राप्त करता है। हालांकि, उसके पिता उसे अपनी मां को भी सूचित करने के लिए कहते हैं, इससे पहले कि वह हिरणी के बच्चे को लाने के लिए जाए। वह अपनी मां को बताता है, लेकिन वह उसे हिरणी के बच्चे को लाने की अनुमति देने के लिए तैयार नहीं होती । फिर, जोडी का कहना है कि उनके पिता ने कहा कि "भूखे रहने के लिए हिरणी के बच्चे को छोड़ना कृतघ्न है"।

Doctor Wilson also supports Jody and mentions that nothing in this world comes free. The boy and his father are right. We must not leave the fawn to starve. The mother is helpless now and Jody gets permission to bring in the fawn. Jody heads to the jungle with Mill-wheel on the horse. Also, he assures his mother that he would be back before dinner.

डॉक्टर विल्सन भी जोड़ी का समर्थन करते हैं और उल्लेख करते हैं कि इस दुनिया में कुछ भी मुफ्त नहीं आता है। लड़का और उसका पिता सही कह रहे हैं। हमें भूखे रहने के लिए हिरणी के बच्चे को नहीं छोड़ना चाहिए। मां अब असहाय हो जाती है और जोड़ी को हिरणी के बच्चे को  लाने की अनुमति मिलती है। जोडी घोड़े पर मिल-पहिया के साथ जंगल की ओर जाता है। इसके अलावा, वह अपनी मां को आश्वस्त करता है कि वह रात के खाने से पहले वापस आ जाएगा।

The second part talks about Jody’s presence in the forest. He wants Mill-wheel to go back so he can be alone with the fawn. There are two reasons. The first reason is that he doesn’t want to show his disappointed face if he doesn’t find the fawn or it is dead. The second reason is that he doesn’t want to show his lovely meeting when he finds the fawn.

दूसरा भाग जंगल में जोडी की उपस्थिति के बारे में बात करता है। वह चाहता है कि मिल-व्हील वापस चले जाएं ताकि वह हिरणी के बच्चे के साथ अकेले रह सके। इसके दो कारण हैं। पहला कारण यह है कि वह अपना निराश चेहरा नहीं दिखाना चाहता है अगर उसे हिरणी के बच्चे नहीं मिलता है या वह मर चुका  हो । दूसरा कारण यह है कि वह अपनी प्यारी मुलाकात नहीं दिखाना चाहता है जब वह हिरणी के बच्चे  को पा ले।

He says Mill-wheel that the scrub is too thick for the horse to go through, so you should go. I’ll find the fawn and take care of myself. Mill-wheel doesn’t want to leave him alone but Jody assures that he’ll be fine so Mill-wheel comes back.

वह मिल-व्हील को बताता है कि घोड़े के माध्यम से जाने के लिए स्क्रब बहुत मोटा है, इसलिए आपको जाना चाहिए। मई हिरणी के बच्चे को खोज लूँगा और अपना ध्यान रखूँगा। मिल-व्हील उसे अकेला नहीं छोड़ना चाहता है, लेकिन जोड़ी उसे आश्वासन देता  है कि वह ठीक रहेगा । तो, मिल व्हील वापिस आ जाता है।

The third part talks about finding and bringing the fawn home. After some time, Jody comes across the fawn and is very happy. Jody lays his hands on the fawn’s neck lovingly. He is afraid that the sight of its mother’s dead body may upset the fawn. So, he chooses another route and comes through the bushes carrying the fawn in his arms. He reaches home and enters into dad’s room with the fawn. Penny turns his head and finds Jody behind the fawn. Penny says “I am glad you found it.”

तीसरा भाग हिरणी के बच्चे को खोजने और घर लाने के बारे में बात करता है। कुछ समय के बाद, जोड़ी हिरणी के बच्चे को पा लेता है और खुश होता है। जोडी प्यार से हिरणी के बच्चे की गर्दन पर अपना हाथ रखता है। उसे डर है कि उसकी मां के शव को देखकर हिरणी का बच्चा परेशान हो सकता है। इसलिए, वह एक और मार्ग चुनता है और झाड़ियों के माध्यम से अपनी बाहों में हिरणी के बच्चे को ले जाता है। वह घर पहुंचता है और हिरणी का बच्चा के साथ पिताजी के कमरे में प्रवेश करता है। पैनी पलटता है और हिरणी के बच्चे के पीछे जोडी को पाता है. पेनी कहते हैं, "मुझे खुशी है कि आपने इसे पाया।

After that, Jody goes to the kitchen and offers milk to the fawn. The fawn doesn’t know how to drink the milk, so Jody dips his fingers into the milk and put it in the fawn’s mouth. He keeps doing it until the milk is finished. 

उसके बाद, जोड़ी रसोई में जाता है और हिरणी के बच्चे को दूध प्रदान करता है। हिरणी के बच्चे को नहीं पता कि दूध कैसे पीना है, इसलिए जोड़ी अपनी उंगलियों को दूध में डुबोता है और इसे हिरणी के बच्चे के मुंह में डाल देता  है। वह इसे तब तक करता रहता है जब तक कि दूध समाप्त नहीं हो जाता।
