Class 6 Chapter 10 - The Banyan Tree Summary in Hindi and English

When the author was a young boy, he witnessed a fight between a mongoose and a cobra while sitting under a banyan tree at his grandparents' house.

जब लेखक एक छोटा लड़का था, तो उसने अपने दादा-दादी के घर पर एक बरगद के पेड़ के नीचे बैठे हुए एक मोंगोज़ और कोबरा के बीच लड़ाई देखी।

Part I

A young boy who moved in with his grandparents acquired a large old banyan tree that was home to squirrels, snails, and butterflies. On the tree, a squirrel became his companion. They became so friendly that the squirrel began stealing food from his hand. The tree was the noisiest spot in the garden in the spring, with a variety of birds chirping on it. During the hot summers, the boy built a rough platform on which he sat and read adventure books. He could also see the world beneath the tree from here. While sitting in the tree, he witnessed a fight between a mongoose and a cobra. 

एक युवा लड़का जो अपने दादा-दादी के साथ रहता था, उसने एक बड़े पुराने बरगद के पेड़ का अधिग्रहण किया जो गिलहरी, घोंघे और तितलियों का घर था। पेड़ पर, एक गिलहरी उसकी साथी बन गई। वे इतने मिलनसार हो गए कि गिलहरी उसके हाथ से खाना चुराने लगी। वसंत में पेड़ बगीचे में सबसे शोर वाला स्थान था, जिस पर विभिन्न प्रकार के पक्षियों की चहचहाहट थी।गर्मियों के दौरान, लड़के ने एक मोटा मंच बनाया जिस पर वह बैठा और साहसिक किताबें पढ़ता था। वह यहां से पेड़ के नीचे की दुनिया को भी देख सकता था। पेड़ में बैठे-बैठे उन्होंने एक मोंगोज़ और कोबरा के बीच लड़ाई देखी।

Part II

Due to the extreme heat of the summer, everyone was confined to their homes. The youngster was considering going to the pond to swim with the buffaloes and Ramu. A mongoose and a huge black cobra appeared out of nowhere. The cobra was well aware of the mongoose's powerful fighting abilities. The cobra, on the other hand, was no less. He was also quick and possessed poisonous fangs. They had no idea the boy was watching them. Aside from the boy, two other observers, a myna and a crow stood in the cactus clump watching them. 

गर्मी की भीषण गर्मी के कारण सभी अपने घरों में ही कैद हो गए थे। युवक भैंसों और रामू के साथ तैरने के लिए तालाब में जाने पर विचार कर रहा था। एक मोंगोज़ और एक विशाल काला कोबरा कहीं से बाहर दिखाई दिया। कोबरा को मोंगोज़ की शक्तिशाली लड़ने की क्षमताओं के बारे में अच्छी तरह से पता था। दूसरी ओर कोबरा भी कम नहीं था। वह भी तेज था और जहरीले फेंग्स के पास था। उन्हें नहीं पता था कि लड़का उन्हें देख रहा है। लड़के के अलावा, दो अन्य पर्यवेक्षकों, एक मैना और एक कौवा कैक्टस क्लंप में खड़े होकर उन्हें देख रहे थे। 

The attack began with the mongoose. The crow and the myna joined in the fight as well, attacking each other in the air but safely returning to the cactus twice. The myna returned safely the third time, but the crow was killed by the cobra. The hurt crow collapsed to the ground. The battle between the mongoose and the snake continued. The snake was eventually defeated by the mongoose. The snake gave up and stopped fighting. It was dragged and pushed into the bushes by the mongoose. All of this was being observed by the myna. It flew away with a congratulatory shrill.

हमले की शुरुआत मोंगूस से हुई। कौवा और मैना लड़ाई में भी शामिल हो गए, हवा में एक-दूसरे पर हमला किया, लेकिन सुरक्षित रूप से दो बार कैक्टस में लौट आए। मैना तीसरी बार सुरक्षित लौट आई, लेकिन कौए को कोबरा ने मार डाला। घायल कौआ जमीन पर गिर गया। मोंगूस और सांप के बीच लड़ाई जारी रही। सांप को अंततः मोंगोज़ द्वारा पराजित कर दिया गया था। सांप ने हार मान ली और लड़ना बंद कर दिया। इसे घसीटकर मुंगूस ने झाड़ियों में धकेल दिया। यह सब मैना द्वारा देखा जा रहा था। यह एक बधाई ध्वनी के साथ उड़ गया।
