1. You will probably agree that this
story does not have breathless adventure and exciting action. Then what in your
opinion makes it interesting?
Answer:
Despite the fact that the plot isn't particularly exciting, the author's
description of the entire scene is fascinating. The smooth flow of emotional
narration, on the other hand, adds to the overall appeal. This was written from
the viewpoint of a nine-year-old boy. The boy, who comes from a poor family and
is known for his morality, can't imagine his brother stealing a horse to ride.
This is intriguing in and of itself for the youngster. The writer has
romanticised every thought that passes through the boy's mind after seeing the
horse. The two boys have accomplished great feats of adventure by riding the
stolen horse and carefully hiding it. However, their family is known for their
morality, and they share the same trait. They overcome their desire and return
the horse to its rightful owner after a while.
2. Did the boys return the horse because
they were conscience-stricken or because they were afraid?
Answer:
The boys have been described as fearless throughout the story. Their rage at
the horse drove them to steal one of the horses. After a few months with the
horse, the farmer John Byro came to their house and saw the horse. John Byro
recognised his horse but refused to believe it had been stolen by Mourad and
Aram. He, on the other hand, said nothing to the boys, instead praising their
family for its honesty. The conscience-stricken boys decided to return the
horse in this situation.
3. “One day back there in the good old
days when I was nine and the world was full of every imaginable kind of
magnificence, and life was still a delightful and mysterious dream…” The story
begins in a mood of 2019-20 nostalgia. Can you narrate some incident from your
childhood that might make an interesting story?
Answer:
When reading these lines, one can't help but be transported back to one's
childhood. My father was recently transferred to a location with poor
educational opportunities. My parents couldn't decide whether to take me or
leave me with my uncle. I insisted on accompanying them. They didn't have much
of a choice but to take me with them. 'Raniganj' was a stunningly beautiful
location. A large palatial bungalow with a large garden was present. In the
mornings, I used to find a lot of curious wild animals in my garden because it
was close to the wild forests. What was surprising was that none of them did
anything to harm me. I came across a small deer one day. I decided to rear it
the moment I saw it. Everyone warned me not to do it. I, on the other hand, had
taken it as a challenge. He'd come sauntering down my garden every morning. I
used to give him water and green leaves. We became good friends in two or three
days. Then he'd retire to the Verandah for the night. How quickly the days
passed! I began to fantasise about having this lovely creature with me at all
times. My dream was finally shattered when, after some time, my father was
reassigned to the city. I had no choice but to leave my lovely companion in his
natural habitat.
4. The story revolves around characters
who belong to a tribe in Armenia. Mourad and Aram are members of the
Garoghlanian family. Now locate Armenia and Assyria on the atlas and prepare a
write-up on the Garoghlanian tribes. You may write about people, their names,
traits, geographical and economic features as suggested in the story.
Answer: The Garoghlanian family belonged to an Armenian clan. It was the wealthiest tribe in that part of the world eleven centuries ago. The tribe's members were praised for their morality. They eventually settled in places like Fresno and California. The Garoghlanian tribe is a group that works in modern conditions while remembering the values of their homeland Armenia's past. They were ecstatic about their family. They valued honesty and had a good sense of right and wrong.
