1. List the things of beauty mentioned in the poem.

Answer: Everything in existence is a source of happiness as well as an object of beauty. The moon, the sunshine, youthful and old trees, small rivers with clean water, daffodil blossoms, flowering musk-roses, and a mass of ferns are just a few of them. All of them are beautiful things. They are a constant source of pleasure and happiness.

2. List the things that cause suffering and pain.

Answer: There are several things that cause us to be in pain and suffer. Our misery is primarily caused by disappointment and hostility. The other is a lack of noble characteristics. Many sorrows and troubles result from our wicked and unhealthy behaviours, dampening our spirits. They cast a gloomy veil over our existence.

3. What does the line, ‘Therefore are we wreathing a flowery band to bind us to earth’ suggest to you?

Answer: The speaker of the poem is a lover of beauty. He employs his senses in order to explore beauty. Nature and man have always had a symbiotic relationship. The 'beautiful objects' are akin to the lovely flower wreaths. Every day, we appear to construct a flowery band that connects us to the earth's splendour.

4. What makes human beings love life in spite of troubles and sufferings?

Answer: There are a variety of factors that cause us to suffer and have difficulties, as well as damper our spirits. Even in the face of such adversity, some type of beauty brings joy and love into our life. Any thing of beauty lifts the veil of misery and sadness, causing us to appreciate life.

5. Why is ‘grandeur’ associated with the ‘mighty dead’?

Answer: During their day, the 'mighty dead' were extremely dominating and strong. Because of their accomplishments, they were dubbed "powerful" and "great." Their noble efforts enchant our senses. On the doomsday, we assume the mighty deceased forefathers would gain greatness. As a result, the words 'grandeur' and 'mighty dead' are linked.

6. Do we experience things of beauty only for short moments or do they make a lasting impression on us?

Answer: We feel joyful when we come into contact with beautiful objects because they leave an indelible imprint on us. Its beauty grows more and more with each passing moment. It’s worth never diminishes and it never vanishes into oblivion. The cloud of sadness that had been hovering over our gloomy spirits has lifted.
