Answer: The physicians forbade her to eat normal food and she was given strict orders to remain inside her dingy room continuously with doors and windows closed deprived of fresh air.

2. What did the specialist prescribe in addition to medicine?

Answer: The specialist prescribed costly yet effective medicines. In addition to this, he also emphatically advised  Sayeda’s mother to leave her dark room and occupy a bigger room with doors and windows open. The specialist asked her to sit in the sun for an hour every day so that she would consume fresh air and sunlight which was far more important than medicines.

3. What did Saeeda tell the sunrays to do?

Answer: Saeeda used her secret language and asked the last departing ray of the sun to come the next day with full warmth and brightness because her mother was ill and sick and needed its help.

4. Why were the sunrays keen to go down to the earth the next day?

Answer: The sun rays were keen to go down to the earth the next day because they had promised and made a pact with Saeeda that they would go down to the earth to help Saeeda’s mother who needed their help. They did not want themselves to be proved as liars.
