Answer: In his fruit tree home, the monkey was happy. He had plenty to eat, but no one to share it with. He was feeling lonely. He needed someone to talk to and with whom he could share his fruits.

Answer: The crocodile and the monkey became good friends. They discussed birds and animals. They also talked about the difficulties that farmers faced when the rains didn't come.

3. Why was the crocodile’s wife annoyed with her husband one day?

Answer: The crocodile spent too much time with the monkey one day. His wife was left to look after the children by herself. As a result, she was irritated by him.

4. Why was the crocodile unwilling to invite his friend home?

Answer: The crocodile's wife desired to eat the monkey's heart. The crocodile was uninterested in assisting her. He couldn't abandon his close friend. He screamed angrily at her.

The monkey saved himself by leaping onto the tree.

7. What does the last sentence of the story suggest? What would the crocodile tell his wife?

Answer: The crocodile appeared to be both sadder and wiser. He would have told his wife about everything that had happened, including how she had shattered a great friendship due to her insecurity and greed.
