Introduction
Corona Virus which is commonly known as COVID-19 is an infectious disease that causes illness in the respiratory system in humans. The term Covid 19 is a sort of “Novel Corona Virus Disease 2019”.
It is a new virus that has badly impacted the whole world. It spreads primarily through contact with the person or from person to person who is in close contact within 6 feet.
The virus was first identified in an outbreak of the respiratory disease in Wuhan city of China in December 2019. On January 30, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared Covid-19 a global health emergency, and by March 2020, it was officially an epidemic.
The Government of India announced a nationwide lockdown for 21 days on 23 March 2020 as a preventive measure against the Coronavirus pandemic in India.

Symptoms of COVID-19
The most common symptoms of this viral infection are fever, cold, cough, bone pain, and respiratory problems. Also, the symptoms like Fatigue, Sore throat, muscle pain, and loss of smell or taste can be seen in Corona Virus patients.

Prevention / precautions
The emphasis is on taking extensive precautions such as hygiene, regularly washing hands, carrying sanitizers, wearing masks, avoiding face-to-face interaction, maintaining social distancing, etc. Also, use a disposable tissue every time you cough or sneeze and then throw after using it.

Overall effects / disadvantages
As a result, all educational institutions and almost every commercial establishment had to be shut down. All tourist visas were suspended as a majority of the confirmed cases were linked to other countries.
Thousands of migrant workers were walking across the country to reunite with their families in their native places. With the closure of factories and workplaces due to the lockdown, millions of migrant workers had to deal with the loss of income, food shortages, and uncertainty. It affected not only the daily life of citizens but also the global economy.

Effects on unemployment
Automobile: Many automakers had to close their factories due to a short supply of components which affected many employees during COVID-19.
Construction: Due to supply chain interruption with materials construction industry also slowed down and impacted lots of migrant workers.
Airlines: Due to a fall in passengers, many flights were canceled. Even major airlines announced plans to cut expenses and offer voluntary/unpaid leave to employees.
Fashion/clothes: As people were locked in their houses, the demand for clothes automatically reduced. Many luxury brands had to shut down their outlets, and increased unemployment in the country.
Restaurants: The food industry was badly impacted. Several large chains closed their restaurants due to almost no customers, and add to unemployment.
Similarly, many other industries were impacted and closed their services which led to increased unemployment globally.

Advantages of COVID-19
Clear sky/air: Thanks to COVID-19 and the subsequent lockdown, the sky became clear, and the air was cleaner too. Studies found a considerable reduction in air pollution levels during the pandemic.
Work from home: Many offices introduced WFH opportunities for their employees which reduced traveling expenses and commuting time. Also, it increased productivity and work flexibility.
Enjoy simple pleasures of life: Although the lockdown disrupted our normal life, it gave us many simple pleasures of life that we were deprived of – such as more time for fitness, family togetherness, a simple way of living, relishing home-cooked foods, and adequate time to pamper ourselves.

Lessons for the world
All countries should maintain transparency with other countries, especially in such virus outbreak situations.
The lockdown cleared the sky and reduced pollution to a great extent. This made us realize that whatever damage is done to the environment can be reversible.
Everyone understood the importance of healthcare services. The healthcare industry needed more money, equipment, and human resources.
When imports and exports were badly affected, all countries realized the importance of self-sufficiency.

Conclusion
The COVID-19 Pandemic caused a lot of damage to the world. It has taught us to prepare ourselves for the next pandemic and/or prevent possible pandemics.
Some countries still lack in providing facilities and proper treatment for COVID-19 patients.
International bodies, such as the World Health Organization, need to help developing countries establish critical management healthcare systems, which can help to deal with future pandemics.
